Founded in 1990, the International Women’s Forum (IWF) Leadership Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting women’s leadership globally. The IWF Leadership Foundation is incorporated under District of Columbia law and is established as a 501(c)(3) charitable and educational arm of the IWF. Due to its 501(c)(3) status, donations to the Leadership Foundation are tax deductible as provided by law. Any goods or services provided in exchange for a contribution must be explicitly stated.
| THE JEANNE HERBERGER $500,000 CHALLENGE GRANT IN HONOR OF LILLIE RICHARDELLA |
Jeanne Herberger, former IWF Leadership Foundation Treasurer, has once again raised the prospects for women's leadership through her significant generosity and support of the IWF Leadership Foundation with a new Endowment Challenge Grant of $500,000 in honor of IWF CEO Lillie Richardella. For every dollar the Foundation raises for its endowment, Jeanne will match it dollar for dollar up to $500,000. Donors may double their impact through the matching funds provided by Jeanne. In her grant, Jeanne writes:
“The IWF Leadership Foundation has made tremendous gains in support, in financial commitment to their programs and to impacting women's lives globally since its inception. Lillie Richardella, CEO has been a catalyst for this tremendous growth and to the enhancement of these programs. In honor of her leadership and my retirement as Treasurer of the IWF Leadership Foundation Board, I wish to make a new challenge gift to the IWF Leadership Foundation Endowment Fund…I wish to honor Lillie with this challenge grant. I cannot thank her enough for her outstanding leadership which has taken the IWF into the 21 st century and has significantly assured its future.”
The IWF Leadership Foundation's Endowment fund is principal protected, with only the income being used to support our leadership development programs around the world. This Challenge Grant will help us reach the goal laid down to ensure that our world renowned programs are funded, supported and nurtured to increase and deepen their impact for future generations of women leaders. | JEAN HEAD SISCO EMPOWERMENT FUND |
| In honor of Jean Head Sisco, past Chairman of the Leadership Foundation, an early supporter of the Fellows Program, and a Washington, DC Forum Member, the Jean Head Sisco Empowerment Fund has been established within the Endowment. Through Jean’s exemplary vision and guidance, both the International Women’s Forum and its foundation have thrived and grown. Her unwavering commitment to women in leadership has inspired scores of other women. It was Jean's vision that the future of IWF's Leadership Foundation Fellows program be secured through the development and successful management of an Endowment fund to assure its on-going operation. |
| THE MARGITA WHITE FUND |
| This dedicated fund in honor of Margita White will help underwrite the tuition of young women leaders in the communications field within the Leadership Foundation’s Fellows Program. Margita exemplified all the attributes of authentic leadership that we seek to impart to a next generation of women. This fund will ensure her legacy of advancing women’s leadership in communications. THE CAROLYN GOLDING ALUMNAE LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Leadership Foundation is pleased to announce a new scholarship initiated by Fellows Program alumnae in honor of Carolyn Golding, who has served as the facilitator for the Fellows Program since 1996. Carolyn's insights, expertise, thoughtful reflections, and mentoring have made a significant impact on the program and its participating fellows. The scholarship is aimed to provide financial support for women who would otherwise be unable to participate in the program. Beneficiaries of the scholarship will be women from developing nations, non-profit organizations, and other circumstances where funding for tuition is out of reach.
